Da Lat is one of our favourite playgrounds for adventure activities!
Located in southern Viet Nam’s Central Highlands, Da Lat has a cooler temperate climate and is known as the ‘City of Eternal Spring’. With colonial architecture and a pretty central lake, the city is surrounded by mountains, forests, valleys, lakes, waterfalls, and farmlands. There are many activities and attractions for visitors, but due to the geography, Da Lat really excels in adventure activities!
CANYONING:
The first question on many travellers minds is ‘what is canyoning’? Canyoning is the activity of navigating through a rainforest filled canyon. This includes rappelling/abseiling down rock faces & waterfalls, hiking, swimming, cliff-jumping and even sliding down the falls! It is a very fun and active day full of challenges in beautiful surrounds. Guests might start the day with some nerves, but by the end of the day everyone will be jubilant and strangers will feel like family!

HIGH ROPES COURSE:
A new adventure activity near Da Lat is the High Ropes Course at Datanla Waterfalls. Suspended high up in the treetops, guests will have fun climbing, hanging, swinging and balancing with ropes, cargo nets, obstacles and ziplines. A range of circuits with increasing difficulty encourages guests to challenge themselves and means there is something for everyone. Our team has personally tried and tested the course on your behalf and given it our thumbs up as one not to miss!
WHITE WATER RAFTING:
The Do Don River near Da Lat has stunning scenery and a 10km stretch of river that is perfect for White Water Rafting. Feel the excitement of a day travelling down the river in an inflatable raft, gently cruising one moment and then quickly bouncing down the rapids a minute later! Along the way the river will give some opportunities for jumping off cliffs and into the water. White water rafting is one adventure activity that is best during wet season when the river has the most power. It is wet, wild & adventurous fun with plenty of thrills and maybe a few spills too.
CYCLING:
The highlands area in and around Da Lat has winding and climbing roads that will entertain and challenge cyclists at any skill level. Options include both cycling roads and trails and can be in the Da Lat area or travelling to/from Da Lat. The journey from Da Lat to Nha Trang is one of the most spectacular in all Viet Nam, as breathtaking as the well-known ‘Hai Van Pass’ but even better suited to cyclists, especially if you’re heading from Da Lat to Nha Trang, as its almost all downhill. For a fun adventure activity in and around Da Lat it’s hard to beat cycling!
TREKKING:
The area surrounding Da Lat features some very good trails and scenery for trekking with options for various levels of intensity. Trekking gives visitors time to really appreciate the natural beauty and to reach some spectacular viewpoints and waterfalls. ICT can arrange one-day or multi-day treks including overnight camping in tranquil locations. Get back to nature with Da Lat’s breathtaking natural surrounds, best experienced whilst trekking through them!
