The In Country Tours (ICT) team are happy to share with you the news that our Miss Emma (Junior Tour Consultant) recently celebrated her engagement with Mr Thuc Le on 13th March 2017, at Emma’s family home in Hoi An.
This happy couple first met in college and became good friends before falling in love. They have been together for almost 6 years, and plan to get married later this year, with wedding ceremonies in both Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City and Hoi An.
In Vietnamese culture, wedding and engagement practices vary from region to region, and within different family, religious and ethnic groups. The engagement ceremony is typically very important, and can be considered more important as the actual wedding, as it officially announces the relationship between two families.
